CG Gold Retrieve

Document retrieval using CG Gold is easy ! The profile browser uses a familiar 'explorer style' window to display the choice of profiles available for a user to search..

The user chooses where to begin the search with a simple mouse click.

The choice of profiles and the capabilities for each user is determined as they log on to CG Gold. This is configured when the system is set up, but may be altered at any time by the system administrator as new profiles or users are added to the system.

Profiles whose content is currently off-line to the system are clearly indicated by the browser

Searching

CG Gold's powerful and flexible document indexing allows for the specification of multiple customer specified criteria rather than more restrictive conventional search strategies. This avoids transcription problems associated with documents such as hand written forms.

Simple character patterns are entered into the search criteria portion of the screen. They form the basis of the search.

The user needs no knowledge of any complicated query language such as SQL.

Matching index records are displayed in the lower half of the screen.

Thumbnail Browser

Prior to display within the document viewer, images may be previewed in the thumbnail browser.

The browser allows multiple image selection through 'tagging'.

Shortcut menus ('right-clicking') provide quick access to 'tagging' as well as printing and viewing.

Printing and Distribution

Document distribution is strictly controlled by CG Gold according to a user's specific authorisations.

Documents may be: printed, faxed or * emailed
