Microfilming

Cosmo Graphis Imaging are expert in all matters to do with microfilm. Our bureau has offered advice and a quality service for over twenty years.

Effective, Economic & Simple

Microfilm has long been recognised as the simplest, most effective and economical method of storing large quantities of documents. It is very durable and is ideal for retaining archival material and information that could be needed many years ahead.

The major benefit of microfilm is that the physical space required to retain information is drastically reduced. Subsequently if a document is needed it can be retrieved easily and a copy printed as required. Put into perspective :

  • a single roll of 16mm microfilm has the capacity to retain approximately 2,500 images.
  • documents from a full four drawer filing cabinet can be retained on six small reels of microfilm.
  • documents printed from microfilm are accepted as legal evidence in a court of law.

A typical microfilming contract would include :-

  • Cosmo Graphis collect the documents for microfilming.
  • Microfilming is undertaken by our experienced teams at our purpose-built premises.
  • All microfilm is carefully labelled for easy retrieval.
  • Microfilms are returned with a turnaround probably faster than any other bureau.

If a document is needed whilst its at Cosmo Graphis' premises, we'll speedily locate it and fax it over. Clients are never be left without access to their documents.

Cosmo Graphis have the experience to recommend and supply companies with the microfilm reader printer, or other retrieval system, most appropriate to their document management requirements.

We also offer a full engineering and maintenance service to ensure that systems continue to perform satisfactorily.
